Account and Data Deletion

Request deletion of your UPSC Genie account

You may ask us to delete your verified account and associated personal learning data. This page explains the verification, scope and limited legal exceptions.

Effective: 29 July 2026Last reviewed: 29 July 2026

1. Submit a deletion request

Email admin@upscgenie.com from the Google email linked to your UPSC Genie account with the subject Delete my UPSC Genie account. Include only your registered email and a clear confirmation that you want permanent deletion.

Do not send a password, Google credential, OTP, card number or identity document unless we explain why limited additional verification is legally necessary.

2. Verification and timing

We will acknowledge the request within 48 hours where practicable. We may ask you to confirm from the registered email or sign in again so another person cannot delete your account. We aim to complete a valid request within 30 days, subject to lawful retention and unusually complex requests.

3. What deletion covers

Deletion from active service systems generally covers:

4. Information that may be retained

We may retain the minimum information required for payment reconciliation, tax and accounting, fraud prevention, security, legal claims, regulatory duties, consumer complaints or enforcement of these terms. This may include order IDs, amounts, payment status, payment references, refund records and a record that an account was deleted.

Copies in encrypted or access-restricted backups may remain until the backup cycle expires. We do not restore deleted data for ordinary product use. Aggregated or irreversibly anonymised statistics may remain because they no longer identify you.

5. Consequences

Deletion is permanent. You may lose your study plan, progress, evaluations, paid access and unused AI allowance. Account deletion is not itself a refund request. Submit any eligible refund request under the Refund and Cancellation Policy before deletion.

6. Google and third-party data

Deleting UPSC Genie data does not delete your Google account or information controlled independently by Google, Cashfree, Meta or other providers. You may also remove UPSC Genie access from your Google Account settings and use each provider's privacy tools.
