Terms for using UPSC Genie AI

These terms form an agreement between you and Wreck Ventures Pvt Ltd when you access upscgenie.com, create an account or purchase a digital plan or AI usage allowance.

Important: UPSC Genie AI is an independent educational service. It is not affiliated with UPSC or the Government of India, and it does not guarantee selection, marks, rank, examination eligibility or any particular result.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By using the service, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy and the policies linked from the Legal Center. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service is intended for users aged 18 or older who can enter a binding agreement. You are responsible for ensuring that your use is lawful in your location.

3. What the service provides

UPSC Genie AI may provide study planning, syllabus-linked lessons, PYQs, practice questions, mock tests, current affairs, progress indicators, AI tutoring, translation and Mains answer transcription or evaluation. Some features are free; metered AI work requires an available usage allowance or active plan.

Educational content supports preparation but does not replace official UPSC notifications, question-paper instructions, legislation, judgments, government sources or professional advice. Always verify high-stakes examination information at upsc.gov.in.

4. AI-generated output and evaluations

AI systems can misunderstand a question, omit context or produce inaccurate, outdated or invented material. GENIE AI answers and Mains evaluations are formative learning aids, not official UPSC marking, expert certification or a prediction of examination performance.

You should review outputs, consult cited primary sources and apply independent judgement. Do not rely on the service for legal, medical, financial, mental-health or emergency advice.

5. AI usage allowances and digital plans

6. Payments, digital delivery and refunds

Payments are processed by Cashfree. The total price, currency and product are shown before payment. We credit access or usage only after the server confirms a successful payment. No physical product is shipped.

Refunds and cancellations are governed by the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Delivery timing and failed-credit steps appear in the Digital Delivery Policy. You must provide the correct account and contact information needed to match the transaction.

7. Content you submit

You retain ownership of original questions, answers and other lawful content you submit. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, transmit, process, reproduce and transform that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure and improve the requested service.

You must have the right to submit the content. Do not upload confidential records, identity documents, payment credentials, unlawful content, malware or another person's private or copyrighted material without permission.

The service software, design, brand, original explanations, taxonomies, templates and compiled databases are owned by or licensed to Wreck Ventures Pvt Ltd. “UPSC” belongs to the Union Public Service Commission and is used descriptively. Official documents and third-party materials remain subject to their respective rights.

You may use the service for personal, non-commercial preparation. No other licence is granted unless expressly stated.

10. Availability and service changes

We aim for reliable access but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may be added, corrected, limited or retired for security, legal, technical, editorial or commercial reasons. Where a material change affects a paid, unexpired entitlement, we will provide a reasonable remedy required by applicable law.

11. Suspension, termination and deletion

We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, security issues, payment reversals, prohibited use or serious breaches. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to clarify. You may stop using the service and request deletion under the Data Deletion Policy.

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties that can lawfully be excluded, including uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose and error-free AI output.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wreck Ventures Pvt Ltd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from reliance on educational content, missed examination actions, third-party services, internet failure or unauthorised account access outside our reasonable control. Our aggregate liability for a paid service claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the affected service during the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes consumer rights, remedies, liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or any liability that cannot legally be limited.

13. Governing law, disputes and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please first use the grievance-redressal process so the issue can be investigated. Subject to rights available under consumer law and any mandatory forum, courts of competent jurisdiction in Mumbai, Maharashtra will have jurisdiction.

We may update these terms prospectively. Material changes will be dated and, where appropriate, notified in the app or by email.
