Report a correction
Email admin@upscgenie.com with:
- the URL of the page or the exact GENIE AI response concerned;
- the sentence, answer or citation that may be wrong;
- what you believe the correct information is;
- a primary or authoritative source, where available; and
- your contact details if you would like a response.
How reports are reviewed
- Triage: identify whether the report concerns a factual error, interpretation, wording, broken source, translation or technical problem.
- Verification: compare the claim with the latest official or closest authoritative material.
- Action: correct, qualify, update, remove or retain the content based on the evidence.
- Record: material changes should update the page’s review date; a correction note may be added when the original error could have materially misled a learner.
Urgent errors involving examination dates, eligibility, official answers, law, public safety or a seriously misleading current-affairs claim receive priority.
Minor changes
Spelling, formatting, broken links and wording changes that do not alter meaning may be corrected without a public note.
Material corrections
A change to a substantive fact, answer or conclusion should be transparent through an updated review date and, when useful, a short correction statement.
Updates are not always corrections
A page may become outdated because UPSC issues a new notification, a court changes the legal position or a government policy evolves. In that case we update the page and its modification date; the earlier text was not necessarily incorrect when published.
For the standards used during publication, see our editorial policy and methodology.
