Use the guidance thoughtfully—and verify what matters

UPSC Genie AI is a preparation aid. It does not replace official notifications, careful source reading, qualified professional advice or your own judgement.

Effective: 29 July 2026Last reviewed: 29 July 2026

1. Independence from UPSC

UPSC Genie AI is operated by Wreck Ventures Pvt Ltd. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or operated by the Union Public Service Commission or the Government of India. The term “UPSC” is used descriptively to identify the examination-preparation context.

2. Official information controls

Eligibility, age limits, attempts, reservations, application instructions, dates, centres, syllabus wording, paper instructions and examination rules can change. The current notification and material published at upsc.gov.in are authoritative. A lesson, message or search result on this service must not be treated as an official notice.

3. AI output can be wrong

GENIE AI may misunderstand prompts, miss context, produce outdated information or generate a plausible but false claim, source, quotation, judgment, date or statistic. Citations can also be incomplete. Verify important claims against primary sources before relying on them.

4. Study plans and progress indicators

Plans, readiness scores, streaks, ranks and progress indicators are organisational tools based on the information and activity available to the service. They do not predict selection, marks, rank or examination performance. Outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.

5. Mock tests and Mains evaluations

Practice scores and answer evaluations are formative. They are not official UPSC marks and may differ from the judgement of an examiner, teacher or institution. AI transcription can misread handwriting; review extracted text before evaluation. Suggestions should be tested against the question, official paper instructions and reliable sources.

6. Current affairs and translations

News develops quickly and early reports can change. We may summarise or translate official material and reputable reporting, but errors or later corrections remain possible. Open the cited source and check its publication date. Translation may not preserve every nuance; authoritative legal and official text should be consulted in its original form.

7. External links and third parties

Links to UPSC, government sites, newspapers, Google, Meta, Cashfree or other services are provided for convenience or attribution. We do not control their availability, security, accuracy or privacy practices and do not endorse every view on a linked page.

8. No professional advice

The service does not provide legal, medical, financial, tax, mental-health, employment or emergency advice. Consult an appropriately qualified professional or public authority for those matters.

9. Corrections

If you find an error, use the Corrections Policy or email admin@upscgenie.com with the URL, disputed statement and an authoritative source.
